get fitbit app for windows 11

Many who have a Fitbit product want to download the app on Windows 11, especially due to the bigger display and seamless interface. But that has been made more difficult over the years!

For anyone wondering whether it’s possible to install the Fitbit app on a PC, the answer is no. Fitbit, in October’22, discontinued the Fitbit Connect app for Windows and macOS. Two years later, in July’24, Fitbit announced the discontinuation of the web dashboard and moved all the features and functionalities to the Fitbit app, which is limited to Android and iOS.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t access it, input the data on the PC, or set goals. You can have it all without even directly installing the dedicated Fitbit Windows app!

How can I access the Fitbit app for Windows 11?

  1. Download any one of the top-rated Android emulators for Windows 11. I picked LDPlayer.
  2. After installing the emulator, launch it, and then open the Google Play Store.Google play store
  3. Sign in with a Google account. If you don’t have one, create it.
  4. Now, search for the Fitbit app and install it.fitbit app for windows 11
  5. Once downloaded, launch the Fitbit app, and sign in with your login credentials.
  6. You can now access all the health-related data, set goals, and make changes as you do on the mobile app.

Since Fitbit has been discontinued for PCs, you are left with no option but to download an emulator and then install the app. Also, if you are an iPhone user, get a reliable iOS emulator for Windows, although the options are limited here compared to Android.

Is Fitbit compatible with Windows 11?

No, Fitbit is not compatible with Windows 11, or for that matter, most PC-based operating systems, including macOS and Linux. The Fitbit Connect app stopped working for Windows 11 from October’22.

Although there’s another interesting aspect I must mention. Anyone who didn’t sign out of the Fitbit app for Windows 11 post-discontinuation still has access and can view/input the data. At least, that’s the case with most. So, if you, too, haven’t done that, I recommend remaining logged in.

As you can see, there are limited ways of using the Fitbit app on Windows 11. The dedicated app has been deprecated, the web dashboard has been discontinued, and you are only left with the option of getting an Android or iOS emulator. The latter, under ideal conditions, wouldn’t have been my first pick, but there’s no other way now!

Similarly, you can get the Fitbit app for Windows 10.
